2025 Lincoln Aviator Review

The next-generation Aviator will be available in the summer of 2024, and we’re still waiting for Lincoln to release details about which models will be available. Here’s what we already know about this large crossover premium SUV.
Notable Changes from the Previous Year
Many changes have been announced for the 2025 lineup. Headlamps and grilles will come with a new design and lighting strip flash with sequential animations that turn on when you approach the vehicle and lock it. The infotainment system has also been upgraded. Now, all models have a larger 12.4-inch digital cluster and a 13.2-inch touchscreen display. There’s also a new digital interface system developed with Android Automotive. And there are several new wheel designs and colors, both interior and exterior, to choose from.
Performance Specs
Get ready to take off with a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine with best-in-class torque capabilities: 415 lb-ft of torque and 400 horsepower. This engine will be standard for the entire lineup. It has a 10-speed automatic transmission, combining smooth driveability with confident acceleration. Road tests showed that this powertrain can take you from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5.4 seconds. The Aviator’s suspension provides outstanding stability on corners and adapts easily to road imperfections.
Design Elements
Front seats can be the Perfect Position 30-Way Front Seats with Active Motion Massage, which adjust to each body for a tailor-made massage session. The third row is equipped with a 50/50 PowerFold Split Bench Seat, which means you can expand your cargo capacity considerably.
Inside, you can choose between four colors: onyx, light space grey/smoked truffle, hot chocolate/onyx, and harvest bronze/onyx. You can also choose between different seating configurations: six seats, seven seats, and a captain’s chair on the second row.
Outside, six colors are available for an extra cost: pristine white, whisper blue, red carpet, ceramic pearl, asher grey, and infinite black. And you can make your Aviator shine with the Illumination Package and exclusive Lincoln Dynamic Signature Lighting. This package includes an illuminated Lincoln star logo in the center of the grille, speed-dependent lighting, and adaptive pixel LED headlamps.
Technology and Safety Features
Lincoln has partnered with Android Automotive to create the Lincoln Digital Experience, a brand-new interface system. According to the carmaker, this is the fastest system equipped in a Lincoln so far, with Google voice command, Google Maps, and more. It’s also the most advanced mapping system in the market, providing real-time data from global sources.
The new Lincoln also provides the ultimate sound experience with an available Revel 3D Ultima Audio System, with 28 speakers plus a subwoofer. This system includes multidimensional listening features like the QuantumLogic Surround 3D Technology.
The new Aviator’s driving assistance systems, including top-notch autonomous driving features, are unparalleled. The BlueCruise 1.2 allows for hands-free driving on nearly all of the controlled access highways BlueZones in Canada and the U.S. New features for 2025 include a lane-change assist and in-lane repositioning. The Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.1 and Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.1 Vision bring even more assistants, like a blind-spot information system, lane-keeping assist, and intelligent adaptive cruise control.
